Yes people, it is that time of the year again where we need to remove the cobwebs from our cricket bags and start practicing.

What makes it more exiting this coming season is is that we will be playing our cricket in the Western Province leagues. This is new territory for the club and we have lots to prove as the current Cobras T20 Community champs.

BCC 1st X1 is fortunate to go straight into the Premier League where we will battle it out with 11 other clubs. They will play 2day cricket with some T20's.

Our 2nds will slot in the Reserve C league where we will only play 50 over and T20 cricket just as we did in the Boland. We are looking forward to more competitive cricket on a weekly basis.

Our 3rds will be playing in the third division, playing 35 over matches. The 3rds are leaving Boland as the T20 and league winners. May your good fortunes continue.

New Coach:

We are also very happy to announce that Lee-Roy Walters has been appointed as player-coach for the upcoming season. Lee-Roy comes with wealth of experience as he played first-class cricket for Eastern Province and Boland – and franchise competition for the Warriors and Cape Cobras – between 2005 and 2015.

We wish you all the best, Lee-Roy.

New Players:

We as a club accommodate the young and the old. We see this move to WP also as an excellent opportunity for the young cricketers out there in the Northern Suburbs to get exposure in the top leagues.

We also see this move  to WP as an opportunity for new players to join us in helping us in writing a new chapter of Brackenfell Cricket Club’s history.

Any new player that wants to join must please contact Manrich Kotze via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Let’s go display our brand of cricket that makes BCC what it is. Play hard and fair and let us make new friends this coming season.
